Maddalena Matera is a 25 year old artist living in Toronto/Tkaronto. She grew up on a small island in The Bahamas and became interested in art initially through a fascination with birds, selling her first water colour paintings of birds at the age of seven to her local library. She is a self-taught mixed media artist specializing in water colour and graphite. Maddalena is also a tattoo artist, a passionate scientific illustrator/conservationist, and an aspiring children's book illustrator.

Backed by six years of independent and private studio experience, following a year-long apprenticeship in Montreal and Toronto, Canada, she works with strict adherence to blood-borne pathogen safety standards, prioritizes strong client relationships, and actively manages self-promotion and social media to connect with and support her clientele.
